Public consultation on the 2021 update of the Australian Standards for the Export of Livestock (ASEL) has closed.

How you had your say

We sought feedback about the 2021 update of the Australian Standards for the Export of Livestock (ASEL).

We invited feedback from industry, internal and external stakeholders across the supply chain.

You gave feedback through:

  • an online survey
  • written submissions.

What happens next

We’ll review and consider your feedback.

We'll add complex changes we're unable to make to an issues register for future consideration.

The ASEL 3.2 and supporting documents will be released 8 November 2021.

The implementation process will begin from 8 November 2021. This will include stakeholder education and updates of any relevant policies.
