We prepared this draft report to assess the proposal by Fiji, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tonga and Vanuatu for market access to Australia for fresh Capsicum spp. fruit. The draft report proposes that the importation be permitted, subject to a range of biosecurity requirements.

We released the draft report on 16 April 2021 for public consultation, which has now closed.

We are considering all comments received on the draft report. Your feedback is helping to inform our final report. We expect to release the final report in early 2022.
