In the last 10 years, the rate of e-waste generated each year by Australians has more than doubled. We all have a part to play in taking responsibility for the waste we produce.

E-stewardship means improving the environmentally sound management of electrical and electronic products throughout their life.

To help us inform future decision making, we would like your feedback on the Stewardship for Consumer and Other Electrical and Electronic Products Discussion Paper.

Developing the discussion paper

Discussions with stakeholders happened over August to November 2021. Stakeholders shared their views in a series of roundtable and one on one discussions with the department.

A key outcome from these discussions is the Stewardship for Consumer and Other Electrical and Electronic Products discussion paper. It contains series of questions and your submissions will inform future decision-making.
