We are updating guidelines for future rounds of the Murray–Darling Basin Economic Development Program.
About the program
An extra $34 million for future rounds was announced on 4 September 2020.
The overall program will now provide up to $73 million in grants.
These grants will help eligible communities fund economic development projects to respond to the impact of water recovery activities under the Murray-Darling Basin Plan.
Outcomes for eligible communities will include:
more job opportunities
increased capacity to diversify and strengthen local economies
enhanced resilience, to manage current and future economic challenges and changes.
