    Many of our people operate departmental vehicles regularly while going about their day-to-day tasks. We want to encourage a broader culture of good driving—everyone using our fleet vehicles is a visible representative of the department and should drive accordingly. 

    The department’s fleet management team has been working on the development of a single guideline to ensure that our fleet remains fit-for-purpose and agile whilst meeting government, departmental and public expectations.

    The guideline provides guidance to all staff on the conditions of use of departmental vehicles, and we are seeking your thoughts and feedback on the use of our fleet to ensure it enables the business to function well and the asset and drivers are operating in a safe manner.

    We will be taking your comments into consideration as we aim for a fleet guideline that will meet the more diverse and broader needs of our new department.
