We sought feedback about heat and cold stress in Bos taurus cattle from southern Australia during long-haul export by sea.

We invited written submissions from any interested parties.

What happened next

We received 11 submissions and considered all information in the submissions when preparing the final report. The final draft report was reviewed by a technical expert group in January 2022. The final report was published on 15 December 2022 and can be found here.

Submissions to the draft report, where permission to publish was provided, can be viewed on this webpage.

We will use the report’s findings to engage with industry to enhance the welfare of cattle in this supply chain.
