We are conducting a review of the biosecurity risks of prawns imported from all countries for human consumption.

We have now released a draft report. It identifies biosecurity risks associated with importing non-viable, farm-sourced, frozen, uncooked, whole prawns intended for human consumption and proposes conditions under which imports may be allowed to manage these risks.

You can now provide comments on the draft report.

Submit your comments by 15 January 2021.

To make a submission:

  • read the draft report
  • submit your feedback via our online form, or by post or email.

We will consider all comments before preparing the final report.
